Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information is collected when you use deltacasinoco.slonik.store, why it is collected, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and how you can exercise your rights. It also explains, for information, how the operator of the Delta Casino brand, Delta iGaming Inc., handles personal information when you play for real money on its registered platform.

1. Introduction

Two kinds of processing are described in this policy, and each section makes clear which one it is about:

  • This website. deltacasinoco.slonik.store is an information site about the Delta Casino brand. It offers a free profile for saving favourite games, keeping personal limit reminders and recording break or self-exclusion requests, and a contact form. It takes no payments and offers no real-money play.
  • The operator's platform. Real-money gaming under the Delta Casino brand in Alberta is offered by Delta iGaming Inc. on its registered domain deltacasino.com (ab.deltacasino.com). Account verification, payments and gaming activity are processed there under the operator's own privacy policy, which governs if it differs from the summary given here.

This policy is written with the following laws in mind: the Alberta Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA); the Alberta Protection of Privacy Act (POPA), where it applies to information shared with public bodies; the Alberta iGaming Corporation Act; the Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act; and applicable federal requirements, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) administered by FINTRAC.

2. Data Controller

For personal information collected through this website, the organization responsible is the publisher of deltacasinoco.slonik.store, which you can reach at support@deltacasinoco.slonik.store.

For personal information collected on the operator's real-money platform, the organization responsible is Delta iGaming Inc., 233 Speers Road, Unit 2, Oakville, ON L6K 2E9, Canada. The operator has appointed a Privacy Officer, whose contact details are in section 21.

3. Personal Information Collected

On this website

  • Profile details: first name, last name, email address, mobile phone number, date of birth (to confirm you are 18 or older) and your confirmation that you are in Alberta.
  • Sign-in data: your password, stored only as a one-way hash that cannot be turned back into the password.
  • Preferences: favourite games, personal limit and reminder settings, and any take-a-break or self-exclusion request you record.
  • Messages: your name, email address, subject, category and message text when you use the contact form.
  • Technical data: IP address and request details in server logs, the session cookie and the cookies described in the Cookie Policy.

On the operator's platform (for information)

The operator's policy describes processing of personal and contact details, identity documents and other KYC information, payment information and transaction history, geolocation data, device data, gaming activity, information needed for anti-money laundering (AML) checks, and responsible gaming data.

4. Account Registration

When you create a free profile on this website, we use your details to set up and secure the profile, sign you in, check that you meet the age requirement, save your favourites and limit reminders, and reply to you. The legal basis is your consent and the need to provide the service you asked for. You can close the profile at any time.

When you register for a real-money account with the operator, it uses your details to open the account, confirm your eligibility (age 18+ and location in Alberta), prevent duplicate accounts and meet its obligations as a registered iGaming – Operator.

5. Identity Verification

This website does not ask for or store identity documents. The date of birth in your profile is used only to confirm you are at least 18.

The operator is required to verify the identity and age of every real-money customer. To do so it checks your details against third-party identity and credit reference sources and may ask for a government-issued photo ID, proof of address or other documents. These checks also support fraud prevention and the AML obligations described in section 14.

6. Financial Information

This website does not process payments and does not collect card numbers, bank account details or transaction data.

On the operator's platform, payment details and transaction history (deposits, withdrawals, method used, amounts and dates) are processed to run your account, pay out winnings, detect fraud and meet AML and record-keeping duties. Card and banking data are generally handled by regulated payment service providers rather than stored in full by the operator.

7. Gaming Activity

On this website we only record which games you save as favourites and, in your browser, which game pages you recently viewed. No bets or game results are processed here.

The operator records gaming activity on its platform, including games played, stakes, wins, session times and balances. This data is used to run the games fairly, settle bets, resolve disputes, report to regulators and support responsible gaming monitoring.

8. Geolocation Data

This website does not ask for your device location. When you create a profile we only store your own confirmation that you are in Alberta. Your IP address appears in server logs and may indicate an approximate region.

The operator must confirm that real-money players are physically in Alberta. It uses IP address, device geolocation, Wi-Fi location and mobile location services, with your permission, when you sign in and during play. This data is used for compliance with AGLC requirements and to detect location spoofing.

9. Device Information

When you visit this website, our server records your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the browser type and the referring page. We use this to keep the site running, investigate errors and protect it against abuse.

The operator also collects device identifiers, operating system and browser details, which help it secure accounts, detect multiple accounts or fraud, and confirm location.

10. Cookies

This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies: essential cookies for age confirmation, your cookie choice and your signed-in session, and a browser storage entry that remembers recently viewed games. Optional cookies are only set with your consent.

The full list, with purposes and retention periods, is in the Cookie Policy. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie Settings link in the footer.

11. Analytics

At present this website does not use analytics cookies or third-party analytics tools. If analytics are added in future, they will only run after you choose Accept All or enable analytics in Cookie Settings, and this policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated first.

The operator may use analytics on its own platform to understand how its services are used; its privacy and cookie policies describe that processing.

12. Marketing

This website does not send marketing messages and does not use marketing cookies. We use your email only to manage your profile and answer your messages.

The operator may send marketing about its services only where the law allows and you have agreed. You can withdraw consent at any time through your account settings or the unsubscribe link in any message. Marketing stops for anyone who is self-excluded or on a break.

13. Third-Party Services

Fonts and images on this website are hosted on our own server, so loading a page does not send your data to font or image providers. We use a hosting provider to run the server and may use an email delivery service to send replies; such providers process data only on our instructions.

Links to other sites, such as the operator's platform, AGLC, 211 Alberta or Alberta Health Services, take you to services with their own privacy policies. The operator works with its own providers, including its platform technology partner Strive Gaming, game studios, identity verification and payment companies.

14. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Data from this website is shared only with our hosting and email providers, with professional advisers where needed, or with authorities when the law requires it. We do not pass your profile to the operator unless you ask us to.

The operator may share personal information with:

  • Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) and the Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC), for regulatory oversight, market management and centralized self-exclusion;
  • identity verification, payment and fraud prevention providers;
  • FINTRAC and law enforcement, where required under the PCMLTFA or other law;
  • its technology partner and game providers, to run the platform and the games.

15. International Data Transfers

Personal information may be stored or processed outside Alberta, in other Canadian provinces or in other countries, by service providers working for us or for the operator. When that happens, the information may be subject to the laws of that place, and authorities there may be able to access it.

Before using a provider outside Alberta we check that it protects personal information to a standard comparable to Canadian law, and we bind it by contract. You can ask the relevant Privacy Officer for more information about service providers outside Canada.

16. Data Retention

This website keeps personal information only as long as it is needed:

InformationHow long it is kept
Profile details, favourites, limit reminders and break or self-exclusion recordsWhile your profile is open; deleted when you ask us to close it
Contact form messages and our repliesUp to 24 months
Server logs, including IP addressesUp to 90 days
Cookies and browser storageAs listed in the Cookie Policy

The operator keeps account, KYC, transaction and gaming records for the periods required by AGLC rules, AML law and other legal obligations, which can continue after an account is closed. Its own policy sets out those periods.

17. User Rights

Under PIPA and other applicable law you have the right to:

  • ask whether we hold personal information about you and get a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • withdraw consent, for example by closing your profile or changing cookie settings, subject to legal limits;
  • ask how your information has been used and with whom it has been shared;
  • make a complaint.

For this website, email support@deltacasinoco.slonik.store; for the operator's platform, contact its Privacy Officer (section 21). We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we reply within the time the law allows, which under PIPA is generally 45 days. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca).

18. Data Security

This website is served only over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, forms are protected against cross-site request forgery and spam, access to stored data is limited to people who need it to run the site, and server logs are rotated.

No system is completely secure. Use a strong password that you do not use anywhere else and sign out on shared devices. If you think your profile has been accessed by someone else, change your password and contact us. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Information and Privacy Commissioner as PIPA requires.

19. Automated Monitoring

This website does not make automated decisions about you. Rate limits and spam filters may block a form submission that looks automated; if that happens, you can try again or email us.

The operator uses automated tools to check identity and location, detect fraud and money laundering, and flag patterns of play that may point to gambling harm. Flags are reviewed in line with the operator's procedures, and you can ask its Privacy Officer how a decision about your account was reached.

20. Responsible Gaming Data

The limit reminders, take-a-break records and self-exclusion requests you save in your profile are kept so that you can see and manage them, and are used for no other purpose. They are not shared with the operator unless you ask us to.

The operator processes responsible gaming data, including limits, breaks, self-exclusion status, results of responsible gaming monitoring and player behaviour analysis, and contact made with you about your play. If you join the AGLC centralized self-exclusion program, your details are shared between AGLC and regulated Alberta gaming operators so that the exclusion can be enforced on each site.

22. Policy Updates

We may update this policy when the website changes, when the law changes or when the operator changes how it handles information. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.

If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will email profile holders before it takes effect and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again. Earlier versions are available on request.
